Care Guide
Heavy fabric doesn't need complicated care. It needs cold water, low heat, and a bit of restraint. This guide is organised by fabric weight, because weight is what determines how a piece behaves in the wash.
The short version
- Retro Collared Soccer Jersey: Lightweight breathable knit. Machine wash cold, hang or tumble dry low. Don't iron the contrast stripe.
Raw edges
The raw-edge tank has unfinished neck and armholes. That's a deliberate construction choice, not an unfinished one — but it does mean the edges behave differently in the wash.
Expect a small amount of curl and a little fibre shed in the first two or three washes. That's the edge settling, and it stops. Turning the garment inside out and hanging rather than tumbling keeps the edges tightest. Don't trim loose fibres with scissors; pull them clean.

Why cold water
Nearly every care instruction here comes back to temperature. Heat is what shrinks cotton, glazes polyester and breaks down stretch fibres. Cold water and low heat cost you nothing and add years to a garment.
The other reason is weight. A heavier fabric has more fibre in it to distort, so a 380 gsm sweatshirt punishes a hot wash far more visibly than a 150 gsm jersey does.
