What Made to Order Means

Most of what we sell doesn't exist until you order it. That's a deliberate choice, and it changes a few things you should know before you buy.

What made to order actually means

Your piece is cut and sewn after your order comes in, in the size and colour you picked. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting. It adds a few days to the front of the process and removes a lot of waste from the back of it.

The alternative is guessing — ordering thousands of units in a size and colour spread decided months ahead, then discounting or destroying whatever doesn't move. We'd rather add a week than run the line that way.

What that means for timing

Production takes 2 to 5 business days before your order ships. Delivery takes a further 3 to 10 business days within the US.

So most US orders land somewhere between one and three weeks from the day you place them. You'll get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

If you need something by a specific date, email us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it's realistic.

Which pieces are made to order?

Most of them. These are cut after you order:

Stocked pieces can sell out in a given size. Made-to-order pieces can't — which is why the full size range stays available.

Common questions

Why does it take longer than other brands?
Because nothing is pre-made. A warehouse can ship in a day because it guessed months ago and ate the cost of guessing wrong. We're trading a few days for a cleaner supply chain and a full size range that never goes out of stock.

Does made to order mean custom?
No. You're choosing from set sizes and colourways — we're not altering patterns to your measurements. Made to order describes when it's produced, not how personalised it is.

Is the quality lower than a stocked garment?
No. Same fabric, same construction, same finish. The only difference is that it's sewn after your order rather than before it. Fabric weights are published on every product page, and they're the same specs either way.

Can I cancel or change my order?
Email us as soon as you can with your order number. If production hasn't started we can usually change the size, colour or address, or cancel it outright. Once it's cut, we can't — at that point it becomes a return after delivery.

Why did my order arrive in two parcels?
Items may ship separately if they come from different facilities. Both parcels get their own tracking. You're never charged twice.

Do I pay extra for shipping?
No. Shipping is free on every order within the United States. No minimums, no surprise fees at checkout.

Can I return a made-to-order piece?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return unworn, unwashed items with tags attached, for a full refund or exchange — the same terms as anything else. Made to order doesn't mean final sale. Full detail on the Shipping & Returns page.

What if it arrives wrong or damaged?
Contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it at no cost to you.

Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
Close, with one honest caveat. Minor batch variation in fabric, dye and finish can occur in blank garment production. It's standard across the industry; we keep it as tight as we can. Weight, cut and construction don't vary.

Before you order

The two things worth checking first are fit and fabric. Everything is cut true to size except the hoodie, which runs deliberately oversized — the Size & Fit Guide covers each piece. The Care Guide covers what to do once it arrives.

Still unsure about something? Email us. We'd rather answer a question now than process a return later.
