Does it shrink?

Some shrinkage is possible on the first wash, especially with heat. Washing cold and drying on low minimises it significantly. If you want to be safe, air dry after the first wash and tumble dry low from the second wash onward.

Can I put it in the dryer?

Yes — tumble dry on low. Avoid high heat. High heat is the main cause of shrinkage and can break down the fleece over time. Low heat keeps the fabric in better shape for longer.

Will it pill?

Fleece can pill with friction over time, particularly under the arms and across the chest where a bag or jacket rubs. Turning it inside out before washing reduces surface abrasion in the drum and slows pilling down.

How do I restore the soft hand-feel?

If the fleece feels a little flat after washing, a short tumble on low with no dryer sheets usually brings the texture back. Dryer sheets and fabric softeners can coat the fibres and dull the feel over time — skip them.

How do I keep the oversized shape?

Lay flat or hang to dry when possible — draping over a hanger by the shoulders works well. Avoid wringing or bunching it while wet. The dropped-shoulder construction is relaxed by design, so it holds its shape well as long as you keep heat low.
